A commitment to service for others is what every firefighter brings into the firehouse during every shift. For our sisters who are mothers as well, it's a feeling that extends beyond the duties they fulfill on the job because the firefighter family is an extension of the one they have at home. Today and everyday, we want to wish our mothers a Happy Mother's Day. Remember, children tend to grow up with many heroes in their lives, but their first hero is their mother. #happymothersday ... Speaking of Firefighters that are women, moms, etc....Did you all hear the latest? The City has denied the religious exemption of an LAFD member who also serves as one of the fire department chaplains. You want to know the best part? The exemption was denied based on the "chaplain's opposition to the vaccine containing fetus stem cells." BUT - The chaplain made no mention of fetus stem cells in his exemption letter. So, the city is not even reading the exemption letters, assuming why people sent them and basing the denial off of their assumptions? The fire department chaplain now has 5 days to appeal the denial to Chief Crowley. So far, many of the LAFD firefighters have already emailed her months ago regarding the mandates with no response from her. If you haven't already - please email her. [email protected]
