On February 3rd – 5th, 2021, the UFLAC Election Committee conducted a vote on the proposed amendments to MOU #23 – which is our current UFLAC MOU that had been set to expire on June 30, 2022.
The votes have been tallied by the independently selected Election Committee members and the results are as follows:
92.5% voted to APPROVE the MOU amendment
7.5% voted to REJECT the MOU amendment
These results are now official, and the terms of the newly amended MOU #23 will go into effect immediately.
Thank you to all members who took the time to learn more about the proposal and cast their ballots. For those of you who didn’t have a chance to vote or to learn more about the key provisions of the MOU Amendments, please feel free to reach out to any UFLAC Executive Board Member to learn more about the details of this new agreement that was supported unanimously by your UFLAC Executive Board.
We want to give special thanks to the Election Committee members who took their own time to help with this process and ensure that there was a fair and transparent election. These individuals are: Chairman David Miranda, Co-Chairman Martin Gutierrez, Ian Soriano, Larry Lee, and Gerry Puga. Thank you for the critical role that each of you played in this process.
