MARCH WITH UFLAC TO AXE ALS IN SUPPORT OF OUR BROTHER ERIC STEVENS
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3rd
Dear UFLAC Members:
Many of you are aware of the courageous fight our brother, Eric Stevens, has faced since his diagnosis with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS. While Eric and his family continue to fight bravely against this disease, they have raised tremendous awareness about the need for greater access to experimental drugs that could potentially save lives.
In support of Eric and the Stevens family, UFLAC invites you to join the LAFD, Firefighters throughout Southern California and advocates of ALS research for a march from LAFD Fire Station 3 (108 N Fremont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012) to Los Angeles City Hall on Tuesday morning, December 3rd.
We will gather at Fire Station 3 at 8:30 am for a breakfast rally where the Stevens family and elected officials will rally us as we begin our half-mile walk to LA City Hall at 9:30 am. This walk will take place down First Street, where we have secured road closures for your safety. After we enter City Hall, the City Council will hold a special presentation for the Stevens Family during the City Council session scheduled from 10 am until 11:30 am.
Thank you for your help and participation in support of Eric Stevens, and this important rally to spread awareness regarding ALS in the hope of finding a cure for future generations.
We look forward to seeing you on December 3rd, and please contact any of us on the Executive Board if you have questions. Thank you.
In solidarity,
UFLAC Executive Board
