Behavioral Health & Suicide Awareness Month
May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. To help bring this topic out of the shadows, we are calling on all California fire departments to participate in a Behavioral Health and Suicide Awareness Safety Stand Down.
During the week of May 17th through May 21st, we recommend that you take at least 10 minutes aside to speak to your crews, with a Captains permission, and set aside time to conduct exercises and initiate a conversation on mental wellness.
